[00:09.40]He won the 200-meter butterfly race at the U.S. Olympic trials on Wednesday. [00:16.16]Phelps has won 18 gold medals, more than anybody in Olympic history. [00:22.88]He won eight gold medals in a single Olympics in 2008 in Beijing, China. [00:30.52]But his golden image was tarnished after the 2012 London Olympics. [00:38.12]He was arrested two times for drunk driving. [00:42.73]He stepped away from swimming. [00:46.00]He entered a rehabilitation program. [00:49.88]He then returned to the pool to train for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. [00:57.36]The Games' opening ceremony is August 5. [01:02.28]Phelps first appeared in the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, in 2000. [01:10.44]He was 15 years old. [01:13.48]Now 31, Phelps still holds three world records. [01:19.84]He says he is happy to represent his country at the Olympic Games one more time. [01:27.56]"Being able to make my fifth [Olympics] is something that means a lot to me," Phelps said. [01:34.96]"...I think 20 years from now, I'll be able to look and be happy with that decision to come back." [01:42.92]Another goal for Phelps is setting one more personal best time during the next month. [01:51.04]"It's been a long time since I've got a best time," he said. [01:55.64]"I'd like to have maybe one before I retire. [01:59.44]I hope we can get at least one in the next four weeks." [02:04.48]When the Rio Olympic Games begin in August, [02:08.20]Phelps will be joined on the U.S. swim team by Allison Schmitt. [02:14.28]Schmitt is another athlete who won gold medals in London in 2012. [02:20.48]But she has struggled in her personal life since winning gold. [02:25.48]For Schmitt, it was depression that included suicidal thoughts. [02:31.36]It was not until her cousin committed suicide that she looked for help. [02:37.71]She qualified for Rio on Wednesday [02:41.44]after placing fourth in the 200-meter freestyle race. [02:46.48]She won that event at the London Games in 2012. [02:51.56]"I'm going to Rio," Schmitt said. [02:54.60]"It's been a tough four years, but I'm so happy right now." [02:59.92]The star swimmer of the 2016 summer games may be 19-year-old Katie Ledecky. [03:08.00]In 2012, she was a young swimmer from the suburbs of Washington, D.C. [03:15.16]Ledecky won a surprise gold medal in the 800 meter freestyle in London. [03:21.48]In less than four years, she broke three world records. [03:26.64]At last year's world championships, Ledecky won five gold medals. [03:32.56]She says she will not try to break German swimmer [03:37.16]Kristin Otto's record of six gold medals at a single Olympics. [03:42.92]"I don't think about who I'm chasing [03:45.36]or any of the historical implications," Ledecky said. [03:50.04]The U.S. team will also feature Missy Franklin. [03:54.00]She is a four-time gold medalist at the 2012 Olympics. [03:59.12]She will race in the 200-meter freestyle event in Rio. [04:04.72]I'm Dan Friedell. [04:06.24]更多听力请访问51VOA.COM
