[00:14.12]The U.S. space agency NASA announced that American astronaut Jeff Williams [00:21.08]and Russian cosmonauts Alexy Ovchinin and Oleg Skripochka returned to Earth this week. [00:30.36]Their journey from the space station to Earth took about three and a half hours. [00:37.12]Astronaut Jeff Williams has now spent more time in orbit than any other American. [00:45.60]He has spent 534 days in space during four separate missions. [00:53.80]It is a Russian cosmonaut who holds the world record: [00:59.04]Gennady Padalka has spent 879 days in space. [01:06.36]NASA wrote about Jeff Williams' experience at the space station. [01:12.88]The U.S. space agency said Williams performed five space walks during his time there. [01:21.20]During one of the space walks, Williams installed a station where commercial space flights can stop. [01:30.44]NASA said Williams played an important role [01:34.64]in getting the space station ready for a private U.S. space industry [01:41.40]– not just government-operated missions. [01:45.32]Williams also commented on his experience on social media. [01:50.56]He posted a picture of Earth's outer atmosphere and wrote, [01:55.76]"I will certainly miss this view!"
