[00:14.56]One passenger died. [00:18.36]The plane was flying from New York City to Dallas, Texas. [00:25.84]It made its emergency landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, just before 12 p.m. [00:36.04]Passengers breathed through oxygen masks. [00:40.80]They feared the plane would not make a safe landing. [00:46.36]Some of them were saying prayers, like Amanda Bourman of New York. [00:53.52]She told the Associated Press, [00:57.04]"I just remember holding my husband's hand [01:01.08]and we just prayed and prayed and prayed." [01:05.72]She added, "The thoughts that were going through my head of course [01:11.68]were about my daughters, just wanting to see them again [01:16.64]and give them a big hug so they wouldn't grow up without parents." [01:24.00]Passenger Marty Martinez had a different idea. [01:30.24]He sent out a Facebook live video of himself [01:35.29]and others on the plane putting on their oxygen masks. [01:41.32]Martinez, who is from Texas, wrote on his Facebook page, [01:47.32]"Something is wrong with our plane! [01:50.36]It appears we are going down! Emergency landing!! [01:55.48]Southwest flight from NYC to Dallas!!" [02:00.28]The answers were immediate. [02:03.44]Soon, thousands of people were watching the frightening event take place live. [02:10.64]One Facebook user wrote, "I am praying for you." [02:15.84]Another: "Jesus be the pilot!" [02:19.56]Some gave suggestions for what to do: [02:23.40]"Stay as compact as possible. Brace yourself." [02:29.00]Bourman told the AP that everyone shouted [02:33.12]to brace for impact when the plane started to land. [02:38.96]They then praised the pilot after he set the aircraft down. [02:45.84]National Transportation Safety Board chairman [02:50.32]Robert Sumwalt said one person was killed. [02:55.88]He added that it was the first passenger death [03:00.12]in a U.S. airline accident since 2009. [03:06.20]Seven other people were treated for minor injuries. [03:12.12]Several news reports say that a woman sitting [03:16.48]next to the window that broke was partly sucked out of the plane. [03:23.44]Other passengers held onto her and pulled her back in. [03:29.48]Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel [03:33.68]said there was a fuel leak in one of the plane engines. [03:39.12]He said it was quickly brought under control after the landing. [03:45.12]He said the passengers did "some pretty amazing things [03:51.08]under some pretty difficult circumstances." [03:54.96]更多听力请访问51VOA.COM
