[00:08.86]The plane carried 104 passengers and nine crew members. [00:16.24]The number of deaths is not yet known. [00:21.52]Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited the site of the crash, [00:27.72]and told Agence France Presse, [00:30.68]"It appears there is a high number of victims." [00:35.12]Cuba's state broadcaster reported the plane crashed in Boyeros, [00:42.48]a rural area about 20 kilometers south of Havana. [00:48.48]The plane, operated by Cuban national airline Cubana, [00:54.08]was heading to Holguin in eastern Cuba. [00:58.20]A witness told Reuters the plane's wreckage spread over the rural area, [01:05.40]and that emergency vehicles and firefighters were there. [01:10.20]A worker at Havana's Calixto Garcia hospital told Reuters [01:18.12]three victims of the accident had arrived so far. [01:23.24]One died from burns, and the other two were in a serious condition. [01:30.44]Friday's crash was Cuba's third major airline accident since 2010. [01:38.24]Last year, a Cuban military plane crashed into a hill [01:43.20]in the western province of Artemisa, killing eight soldiers.
