[00:13.20]The rescue came Tuesday, [00:15.44]four days after a strong earthquake hit Turkey and Greece [00:19.88]and as people were losing hope of reaching survivors. [00:25.28]The girl was taken to a hospital in an emergency vehicle. [00:29.96]Sounds of cheering and shouts of "God is great!" [00:34.08]could be heard from rescue workers and people watching nearby. [00:38.80]Health Minister Fahrettin Koca [00:42.52]identified the girl on Twitter as 3-year-old Ayda Gezgin. [00:47.36]The child had been trapped inside the rubble for 91 hours. [00:52.40]She was the 107th person to have been rescued [00:56.84]from collapsed buildings since Friday, the day the quake struck. [01:02.84]After her rescue, Ayda could be heard calling out for her mother [01:07.72]in a video that played on television. [01:10.52]But Ayda's mother did not survive. [01:13.56]Her body was found in the rubble hours later. [01:17.36]Ayda's brother and father were not inside the building [01:21.52]at the time of the quake. [01:24.36]Rescuer Nusret Aksoy told reporters [01:27.96]he was searching through the wreckage of the building [01:30.68]when he heard a child's scream. [01:33.48]He then called for silence. [01:36.16]He later found the girl in a small space next to a dishwasher. [01:41.60]The girl waved at him, told him her name [01:44.92]and said that she was okay, Aksoy said. [01:48.96]"I got goose bumps and my colleague Ahmet cried," [01:53.16]he told HaberTurk television. [01:56.48]Ibrahim Topal, of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation [02:01.00]said: "My colleague and I looked at each other like ‘ [02:04.80]Did you hear that, too?' [02:06.64]We listened again. [02:08.24]There was a very weak voice saying something like ‘I'm here.' [02:12.84]Then we shut everything down, the machines, [02:16.76]and started listening again. And there really was a voice." [02:22.12]Health ministry officials said the girl was in good condition [02:26.20]but would be kept under observation in the hospital. [02:31.16]She asked for a special meal of meatballs [02:34.48]and a yogurt drink on her way to the hospital, [02:38.28]the state-operated Anadolu Agency reported. [02:42.80]Another 3-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl [02:47.00]were also pulled out alive recently [02:49.88]from collapsed buildings in Izmir, Turkey's third-largest city. [02:55.16]At least 111 people died in the quake. [02:59.56]Officials said 138 survivors were still hospitalized. [03:05.52]The U.S. Geological Survey [03:07.80]reported the earthquake's strength at magnitude 7.0. [03:13.68]Other agencies have recorded a smaller number. [03:18.28]Most of the deaths and about 1,000 injuries happened in Izmir. [03:23.68]Two people died and 19 people were injured [03:27.64]on the Greek island of Samos, [03:30.08]near the quake's center in the Aegean Sea. [03:34.20]The quake also caused a small tsunami that hit Samos [03:38.64]and an area of Izmir province, where one woman drowned. [03:43.56]The shaking was felt across western Turkey, including in Istanbul, [03:49.16]as well as in Athens, Greece. [03:52.08]Hundreds of aftershocks followed. [03:55.68]The quake brought down many buildings in Izmir. [03:58.84]Officials detained nine people, including builders, [04:03.16]for questioning over the collapse of six buildings. [04:07.64]Turkey has a mix of older buildings and low-quality [04:12.08]or illegally built structures that easily collapse in earthquakes. [04:17.36]I'm Ashley Thompson. [04:18.76]更多听力请访问51VOA.COM
