[00:11.96]Meghan accused Britain's royal family of being worried [00:17.36]about her son's skin color, [00:20.32]and of causing her to have thoughts of harming herself. [00:25.32]Meghan also said on the program [00:28.12]that her requests for medical attention were refused. [00:33.36]Their discussion will be replayed in Britain on Monday. [00:38.48]Meghan's mother is Black and her father is white. [00:43.00]She said her son Archie had been denied the title of prince [00:48.32]because of concerns about his race. [00:52.60]"That was relayed to me from Harry," she said, [00:56.72]saying that her concerns had been expressed [00:59.96]to her husband and not to her. [01:02.60]Neither Meghan nor Harry would say who had made the statements. [01:07.84]Harry said his family had cut them off financially. [01:12.04]He also said his father Prince Charles [01:15.96]refused to accept his telephone calls at one point. [01:22.40]Nearly three years since her 2018 wedding in Windsor Castle, [01:28.60]Meghan described some members of the royal household [01:32.88]as cruel, lying and racist. [01:36.40]She also accused Kate, wife of Harry's brother Prince William, [01:41.76]of making her cry before her wedding. [01:45.04]She said she had thoughts of suicide. [01:49.44]"I just didn't want to be alive any more. [01:52.76]And that was very clear and real and frightening," Meghan said. [01:58.84]Meghan was known as Meghan Markle before marrying Prince Harry. [02:04.12]She became famous after appearing in the American TV program "Suits." [02:10.60]The British royal family has not yet commented about the accusations. [02:17.00]Harry and Meghan, known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, [02:21.44]announced in January 2020 that they would leave their royal duties. [02:27.56]The move caused a crisis for the royal family. [02:31.12]Last month, Buckingham Palace confirmed the split would be permanent. [02:37.00]Harry is 36 years old. [02:40.04]He said he and his wife had left royal duties because he was worried [02:45.28]that Meghan might be driven to her death by Britain's tabloid newspapers. [02:51.52]His mother Diana died in a 1997 car crash [02:57.00]as she was being chased by photographers. [03:00.52]"What I was seeing was history repeating itself, [03:04.68]but definitely far more dangerous — because then you add race in, [03:10.24]and you add social media in," Harry said. [03:15.00]"I had three conversations with my grandmother, [03:18.48]and two conversations with my father [03:21.40]before he stopped taking my calls. [03:24.28]And then he said, can you put this all in writing?" Harry said. [03:29.48]He felt "really let down" by his father. [03:33.40]Both Meghan and Harry said they did receive support from the queen. [03:39.60]Meghan has been accused of bullying employees of the palace, [03:44.56]a charge that appeared in British tabloids. [03:48.04]Buckingham Palace said it would investigate the accusations. [03:53.20]Meghan told Winfrey that palace employees [03:56.68]failed to protect her and lied to protect others. [04:02.16]"It was only once we were married [04:04.48]and everything started to really worsen [04:07.24]that I came to understand [04:09.40]that not only was I not being protected [04:12.88]but that they were willing to lie to protect [04:15.68]other members of the family," Meghan said. [04:19.12]Meghan said she and Harry were not paid to talk to Winfrey. [04:24.76]The two also said that Meghan, who is pregnant [04:28.40]with their second child, was expecting a girl. [04:32.40]The royal family has other problems. [04:35.48]The largest is Prince Andrew's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, [04:40.36]who was found guilty of sex crimes and later died in prison. [04:44.80]That led Andrew, Harry's uncle, [04:48.08]to be removed from royal duties. [04:51.40]I'm Susan Shand. 更多听力请访问51VOA.COM
